Pricing Structure
The Divorce IFA operates a transparent charging structure. It is fee only and I will engage with you first so you know exactly what you are paying for. I do not take commissions and there are no hidden charges.
First Contact
I offer an initial consultation of up to 30 minutes at my expense and with no obligation to you. This can be done either face to face, by telephone or on Skype. There are scheduled call times available on request.
Aspect
Where advice is needed on a specific aspect I work on a fixed fee basis so you have a clear understanding of the costs involved and so it is not open ended. This will be agreed with you and before you proceed I will write to you with an engagement letter. It is based on a fixed hourly rate of £200 plus VAT. On this basis, the typical engagement I am instructed on is for 2 to 3 hours work.
Court Reports
This will range from £500 to £1,000 plus VAT depending on the work involved. I will be able to give a fixed price once I am aware of the full circumstances. (NB. If the services of an actuary are needed this will be charged for separately).
Implementation
Where I am asked to implement a pension sharing order the charges are as follows:
Pension Sharing Value | Initial Fee (%) |
---|---|
£0- £99,000 | 2.5%* |
£100,000 – £249,000 | 2% |
£250,000 – £499,000 | 1.75% |
£500,000 + | 1.5% |
*Please note there is a minimum charge of £1,750 for any pension sharing implementation.
Internet Special Offer
Where no face to face meeting is required I will discount the implementation charge by 0.5%.
Ongoing Reviews
Where my ongoing review service is taken the initial implementation is reduced to 1% initial and then 1% ongoing subject to minimum initial and annual charge of £1,750

What Our Clients Say...
I learned a lot from him about the different pension options available...
“I came across Phil O’Connor of WhiteWell Financial Planning last year whilst browsing Google after I started divorce proceedings and needed some financial advise.
Throughout that time and up to the present – Phil has been incredibly helpful in providing me with information and giving me guidance on certain procedures regarding Pension Sharing Options and setting up a new pension. I learned a lot from him about the different pension options available. He very patiently answered many and varied questions and helped me in taking the right decision – finally! I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him and his company.”
