Main Qualifications

Resolution Accredited Independent Financial Adviser

This accreditation was developed to test IFAs on the financial aspects of the divorce process and is the only qualification available in this area of advice.  There is an ongoing continued professional development requirement of 200 hours per annum

There are approximately 60 IFAs nationally that hold this qualification.

Resolution itself promotes Collaborative Family Law.  This is a new way of dealing with family law which avoids the confrontational nature of conventional divorce proceedings.  For more information on the Resolution Accreditation and Collaborative Law – www.resolution.org.uk/

Certified Financial PlannerCM

The Certified Financial PlannerCM status is an internationally recognised certification awarded to individuals who have already proven their technical competency by passing appropriate examinations, but who are then tested specifically on their Financial Planning skills.  It is a practical based qualification rather than a technical one.

There are just over 1,000 Certified Financial Planners in the UK.
